About Me
Harshita A.k.a. Opera Queen of India is India’s first Sopranino opera singer as well as Rajasthan’s first opera singer. Fame of India's Got Talent season-10, She is a versatile singer singing various musical genres including opera, Bollywood, pop, English pop, jazz, blues, metal, folk, Sufi et cetera. She is highly known for her high Singing range up to C8 octave, which is a glass-breaking vocal range and sings in variable languages including Italian, French, German, Hindi, English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and others. She represented India in Dubai expo 2020 by Rajasthan Tourism, tourism department of India and DHMS, & and is an international performer performing in various countries including Houston USA, Dubai etc. She is a multi-award-winning singer winning Paris underground music Festival award, women achiever award, Mumbai international film Festival award, Rajasthan international film Festival award, & many others. She was also felicitated by Bollywood singer Ankit Tewari for finest western & opera singing in India. She is the first in Rajasthan to win Dadasaheb Phalke film Festival award 2020. Along with the various awards, she’s also the guest lecturer and was featured in MESC skill India magazine by Mr Subhash Ghai along with various other famous magazines. She also became the face of Adam Audio Pro audio company for having Rajasthan’s first Dolby Atmos whose production room. Being a versatile Singer she is also a disc Jockey and a sound engineer. The audience listening to her has also given her a nickname of “crowd stealer”.

More About Me
Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
I am an Opera singer and a Western contemporary vocalist. Being the only ultra Soprano Opera Singer of India, it was really difficult to learn Opera in The beginning of my career. I started by listening to some of the legendary Opera artists and wanted to learn about that beautiful artistic culture but due to the lack of awareness and not finding a teacher who could train me in Opera I started doing my own research and learnt from various teachers, I have always been a highly creative being and loved indulging into variable arts like dance, music, theatre, acting, attracted to beautiful architecture, costumes and makeups and when my path crossed Opera culture, I found all of this at one place.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
My biggest motivation for teaching Opera and Western Vocals is the lack of proper training in India in these fields. It really gives me immense pleasure When I train people with a passion for opera and contemporary vocals in their eyes. As I've met several students who have learnt the wrong techniques or wrong methods from others who don't have sufficient knowledge of how Western Vocal training and Opera training is done. That's how I decided to train people in a proper systematic Way so that they can know what it means and what it takes to become a highly professional singer.
How does your work help society?
Being the only ultra soprano, Opera singer of India, I have received gratitude and variable rewards and awards for giving proper training in this culture and making my nation proud as there is a lack of knowledge and support for opera in India.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My biggest role model is my mother because she has always taught me that we should pursue our passion into our professions, so that we never get a burden of life.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Apart from Singing, I am a music producer, arranger, Composer, mixing and mastering artist, and acoustic sound engineer, and I love to dance and do Musical theatre. One of my most cherished hobbies is voice modulation that is miming the voice of a three-year-old kid.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
My only anecdote is that I have practiced a lot and went through a lot to get proper training and music. Even after getting limited Knowledge of Western music in India, I have Taken Education from International professors and practiced even for 10 hours a day. So, to get something, I believe that you must give your hundred percent to any field you are attempting.
