More About Me
Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
In my childhood days, my cousins and I used to play dice and card games which need mathematics calculations but I was too slow in calculations. That's why I had to learn how to calculate rapidly and from there I started taking interest in Maths.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
Famous Indian mathematician Srinivasa Iyengar Ramanujan is my ideal and motivates me a lot.He did a lot of work and research in the field of Mathematical Analysis and is considered an all time great mathematician.He did all this without any formal education.
How does your work help society?
Knowledge and education are the base for all things that can be accomplished in life. Teachers provide the power of education to today's youth, thereby we are giving them the possibility for a better future.Teachers also expose children to ideas and topics that they might otherwise not have come into contact with. They can expand on interests and push their students to do better.Right now, I'm also working on awareness program about education in remote area of Rajasthan and providing them quality education almost free of cost.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
I have keen interest in technology and my role model is also computer scientist.Pranav Mistry is a computer scientist and inventor.He is the President and CEO of STAR Labs (Samsung Technology & Advanced Research Labs) and best known for his work on SixthSense, Samsung Galaxy Gear and Project Beyond.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I love to play Cricket and Basketball.Virender Sehwag and Stephen Curry(American basketball player) are my favorite players.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
Now time to an anecdote.I love flowers. My grandfather had small rose garden, over 20 different species. Every Friday, he'd go out into the garden, clip a dozen, and make my grandmother a bouquet. Does love like that exist anymore? :-) "
