About Me
I am an English postgraduate teacher with B.ed and Masters in English from Delhi University. I have been teaching English language, communication, grammar, public speaking, academic and creative writing, comprehensive reading, business English, literature and vocabulary for 9+ years. I have been teaching students of various age groups. I am presently taking the following classes - • School English - Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Creative and Academic Writing, Literature and Syllabus classes for GCSE, IB, Cambridge IGCSE, ICSE and CBSE students, Grades 4 to 12. . Undergraduate and postgraduate - literature . Writing and Language - Creative and Academic Writing, essays, research papers. . SAT- standardized test for college admission in US. . CUET- Common University Entrance Test for admission to Delhi University colleges. .Communication Classes - Spoken English, Public speaking, Debates, Written Communication and Business English. • Interview Preparation - Mock Interviews, Group Discussion, General Awareness. Currently, I'm teaching students from UK, USA, Australia, Singapore, Romania, Dubai and India.

The aim of my teaching is to make learning fun, interesting and interactive. I design a lot of activities, games, role plays and worksheets to enhance practical learning. More About Me
Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
My core competency and area of expertise is English language and literature. More specifically, I have been teaching English grammar, communication, academic writing, creative writing, literature and reading comprehension to school students. It also includes specific exam oriented preparation. I have always been interested in Public speaking, creative writing, reading and analysing texts and communication. The experience and review of soft skills classes I started taking made me more interested in the field.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
The passion for doing things differently and the love I received once I started teaching made me choose it as my career. It is probably the most satisfying profession as the results can be experienced as rewards in the form of expression and feedback of students. It is a nobel profession which can bring a change in someone's life, not just the learner but the teacher as well.
How does your work help society?
I believe guidance can shape up anyone's life for better. Guidance in any particular field in right direction can do wonders if combined with hard work and smart work. So teaching helps create various professions which is the basic foundation of society.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
The activities and work I do is based on experience, feedback and needs of every student and course. There is no specific role model yet everyone can be a role model for something or the other as there is so much to learn from every person and experience and work accordingly.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I love to read non fiction books and write poetry. I also relish working out atleast half an hour a day. I enjoy watching documentaries as well.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
Ahh! yes, definitely. Once I went inside a class as a guest speaker before I started my career as a teacher. I took a lecture on relevance of Shakespeare's politics in today's times by analysing the psychology of the characters in Hamlet, King Lear and The Tempest. After the class was over, I got a lot of appreciation and personally I felt elated and blissful. This made me realise my love for teaching and made me pursue my career as a teacher.

Perfect! Komal is teaching English literature subject to my son, who is in Grade 8 IGCSE. He was having a tough time understanding literature in the way it was being taught in school.
