Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Hindi is my mother tongue. Being a native Hindi speaker, my love for the Hindi language is incomparable. It is simply beautiful. I loved Hindi as a subject during my school days.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
My friends and the children in my colony always came to seek help from me whenever they found studies difficult as they felt like I had a knack to make the most difficult concepts seem easy. Hence, I realized that teaching made me happy and I could definitely think of it as a potential career option.
How does your work help society?
The fact that someone has gained knowledge because of me imparting it to them is such a gratifying experience. This is why I felt like teaching can be the one thing that I could do to bring a change in society.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My mother is my role model. I think all of the patience, calmness, and the never giving up attitude that I have is all because of how I have seen her teach me my entire life. The way she can make someone comfortable so easily and her likeability is something I have always wanted to have in my teaching too!
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Apart from teaching, I am fascinated by cooking and music.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
There are U-turns I found in many of my students. One of my students was initially very weak in Hindi. But After a few of my months of class, he scored good marks in Hindi. Which was a very touching proud moment for me and his parents.
