About Me
Greetings, Allow me to introduce myself as Priyanka, an experienced artist with 14 years of dedicated practice and 10 years of teaching expertise. As a former student of Rabindra Bharati University and a certified painter, I am passionate about imparting knowledge to individuals eager to explore the vast realm of art. Drawing has been an integral part of my life since childhood, and now I am enthusiastic about sharing my wealth of knowledge with others.

My teaching methodology is based on the ability of the student. Firstly, I decide whether to start from the basics or another efficient level. My lesson starts with the basics of colouring, shading principles, and elements of art. I believe in practical learning with a little touch of theory. My goal is always to help students to learn new tricks, and make art fun and easy. I am proficient in teaching a diverse range of art forms, including drawing fundamentals, colouring techniques, oil pastel shading, pencil colour shading, sketch pen colouring, pencil shading, watercolour painting, acrylic painting, engaging art activities, and much more. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
To me drawing is not just painting, coloring, or sketching, it's an emotion or feeling that comes out from us in a way called drawing.It all started when I was just 5 years old, my father took me to an Art Exhibition & I realized that I have an interest in this field.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
Whenever I teach something new to my students I learn something and the smile on my student's faces is the biggest motivation for me to teach.
How does your work help society?
Sometimes when I feel so much burden on me, I start drawing and after an hour I feel relax. So I thought of starting the classes from the beginner level because our next generation is facing a huge burden on them, they will feel relaxed and meanwhile they will learn something.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
That would be my drawing teacher, she was the one who has polished me in such a way that today I am able to share my knowledge with other people.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Except from teaching I love to cook, listening to music, and reading.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
One day when I was conducting my classes I noticed that one of my students who was attending the class was a little bit tensed, then I asked her "What happened?" She told me that her drawing was not perfect like the one I have drawn. Then I told her that practice is the key to be good today, better tomorrow, and best for the rest of your life. That's all!
