Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Hindi is my core subject and I have always developed an interest in it. I want people to acknowledge Hindi as not only a subject but as an advanced mode of communication.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I believe that a good teacher always leads to children developing a good opinion about that subject. My motivation was my Hindi teacher, her ways of teaching, and her patience with children that I intend to follow.
How does your work help society?
Language is a basic mode of communication that only has one objective, which is to create a vivid understanding in the workplace to initiate a better work and learning environment. With my work, I would like to do the same while also balancing their understanding capabilities which will make them not only good speakers but also good listeners.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My teacher is my biggest role model. growing up I always wondered how she could handle all her students in one go. turns out that the only key and answer to this question is a calm mind and patience. The way she held onto her patience was impressive. I want to maintain the same encouraging nature and one day be someone else's role model.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
One of my biggest hobbies in life is traveling and exploring this beautiful world which is filled with exciting objectives and mysteries. I believe that each place contains its own story and has its own cultural heritage. Looking at it from a different perspective and understanding its true value will help us look at life from a different perspective.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
I would like to share the story of my first-ever student. He was a brilliant-minded child who hesitated in even attempting any strategy. I understood his behavior and just thought of how I could get him to even try anything. What I did was suggest to him that he can try these all on his own and it's fine even if he is wrong. This engaged a different form of thinking in his mind and instead of relying on me or anyone for help, he tried to embrace and correct his failures before asking for help. This showed him a better perspective of the point I was trying to convey to him.
