I am a Junior doctor, graduated secondary education with top marks in English (AISSCE- CBSE). Private tutoring for the past 4 years, that I handle both basic language as well as school level syllabus required to be taught. More About Me
Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
English can be considered one of the languages approved globally for education, communication and socialising. From my very childhood, I wanted to engage myself with people regardless of their culture or nationalities and so I thought that investing as well as excelling in this language will help me reach this goal of mine. From then till now this strategy has never let me down in dealing with people from different places and as well as presenting myself in front of people in different arenas for official as well as casual purposes in the very best way possible.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
My mom is the biggest inspiration behind my decision to teach people. This is because she has shown me many ways to make people understand one's thoughts and ideas. She has always encouraged and aided my talent to express myself in all better ways possible. My dad is the first one who ignited the passion for the English language in me and has never gone wrong being my support system. So he is another reason why you see me as an English tutor. My better partner is the one who always pushed me to work towards this goal of being a tutor and never forgot to parent me. Motivations have no verge once when they hail from your near ones!
How does your work help society?
Many people lack the confidence to communicate or present themselves in front of others just because they are not that good at the English language. Some people might not be able to reach their career goals because of a lack of communication skills in the English language. There are people from the outskirts of cities who always wanted to learn English but couldn't achieve it till their late adulthood. So, this could be a rare and right recourse to fulfill their dream. There could be parents who are unable to manage their children who in turn are struggling with an important language like English and hence it would be a great help to them as well. There will be many people who want to brush up on their grammar skills that were forgotten but due to a heavy schedule, they lack the time to accommodate classes offered during their work hours. So my online sessions would be a great help for them since they can schedule the classes according to their convenience.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
I do not have any role models in my life instead I believe in good values and virtues like empathy harmony and love. I believe that accommodating all these values in oneself and attempting to accomplish or reach its utmost level is the promising thing that we could do for ourselves and the world as well. So my motive is to give a better version of myself today than how I was yesterday.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I am a part-time medical content writer. I am a trained classical dancer too. I enjoy reading books, listening to music and watching stand-up poetries. Also, shopping can never leave my little list of activities.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
Yes, I had a few experiences which are worth sharing. Someday I am happy with how people are doing and satisfied when they are introduced to the new methodology of learning. It's always a pleasure saying that I have put both smiles and as well as happy tears on my students' faces. So saving the best of the anecdotes for the first session of my classes!
