1. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
I teach Math and Science, two subjects that explain how the world works. My interest in Math grew when I saw how it could be used in real life-whether in managing money, understanding measurements, or predicting outcomes. Science fascinated me because it answers everyday questions like why rain falls, how machines work, or how the human body functions. The more I learned, the more I wanted to share this knowledge with others.
2. What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
My biggest motivation for teaching is seeing the change in students when they understand something they once found difficult. Many students think Math and Science are tough, but I believe that with the right approach, anyone can learn and enjoy them. I had teachers who made learning fun, and I wanted to do the same-to help students feel confident in these subjects instead of afraid of them.
3. How does your work help society?
Math and Science are used in every field, from medicine to engineering, from space exploration to technology. By teaching these subjects, I help students build logical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are useful in any career they choose. Even in daily life, these subjects help people make better decisions, understand technology, and manage resources efficiently.
4. If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
I consider Parashurama as my role model because of his discipline, mastery of skills, and dedication to teaching. He was not just a warrior but also a mentor who trained some of the greatest warriors in history. Like him, I believe that knowledge is valuable only when it is shared with others. Teaching is not just about giving information but about helping students grow into confident and capable individuals.
5. Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Outside teaching, I enjoy practicing yoga and meditation to stay focused and healthy. I also love reading about new scientific discoveries, space exploration, and technology.
6. Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
I once had a student who struggled with Math and lacked confidence. Instead of making him memorize formulas, I used real-life examples to explain concepts-like using cricket scores to teach averages or travel distances to explain speed and time. Over time, he started understanding and even enjoying Math. By the end of the year, he had improved so much that he helped his classmates. This experience reinforced my belief that every student can succeed with the right approach and encouragement.
