More About Me
Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Hindi is one of the most widely spoken languages globally, primarily in India and also in parts of neighboring countries. It's the official language of the Indian government and is spoken by hundreds of millions of people. Hindi has a rich literary tradition, with famous works ranging from ancient texts like the Ramayana and Mahabharata to modern literature and film. I developed my interest when I was a kid, and my mother taught me Hindi. She usually told me some spiritual stories in Hindi, and I loved all those stories. She kept motivating me to develop my interest in Hindi. As I grew up, I started loving Hindi even more, and eventually chose it for my career."
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
During my formative years, I cultivated a profound affinity for the art of instruction. I would often engage in the act of inscribing educational material upon wardrobes and walls using chalk, while assuming the role of a mentor to my youthful companions, who would, in turn, embody the guise of students under my guidance. This nascent passion for teaching was further invigorated through the inspiration provided by a dear friend and esteemed Hindi educator, who served as my guiding beacon. Recognizing the noble pursuit of teaching as a fitting path for my aspirations, I resolved to follow in the footsteps of my mentor. With unwavering determination, I pursued this objective, ultimately realizing my ambition to become an educator.
How does your work help society?
I volunteered my services to numerous students without charge during my younger years. Teaching, to me, embodies the act of disseminating knowledge to foster the advancement of our society and nation collectively.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My first role model is one and only my mother and after that my favorite hindi teacher.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
In addition to my passion for teaching, I derive great fulfillment from pursuits such as drawing, cooking, stitching, immersing myself in novels, adeptly managing diverse tasks, engaging in innovative endeavors, fostering creativity, fashioning my own garments, writing, partaking in outdoor sports, and nurturing bonds with both street and domesticated canines.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
As a Hindi teacher, one of my most rewarding moments was when a struggling student finally grasped a difficult concept after numerous attempts. Seeing the joy and pride on their face as they exclaimed "Maine samajh liya!" (I understood!) was incredibly fulfilling. It reminded me of the importance of patience, encouragement, and the sheer joy of learning in the teaching process.
