When one researches in a subject long enough, they end up in a position where they can literally understand and explain everything related to it. I can answer questions that you won’t find answers to on Google or chatGPT. I don’t just teach concepts. I explain why they are such. Biology is riddled with statements like “when this happens, that happens” and the students suffer frustration trying to remember what happens when. It is a fundamentally incorrect way of teaching and learning and I intend to fix that for my students. I never accept a statement until I know the why and how of it, and I teach exactly that way. No magic. Just chemistry and logic. That’s Biology.

More About Me
Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
My expertise is across the spectrum of Science and Arts with my core competencies as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Writing. I am actively teaching all of these subjects, and each has a very interesting story leading up to becoming a part of my professional repertoire. I was naturally a logical thinker since as far back as I can remember, and mathematics came naturally to me as the optimal language for precise communication of ideas. As I grew older, I mastered the language of maths, and with that came a mastery of physics and chemistry. My interest in Physics peaked at the end of my 12th grade when I decided to join IIT Kanpur as a Physics Undergraduate. Fate took an interesting turn after my first year at IIT Kanpur as I fell in love with the molecular basis of life and everything that is built on top of that (biology). I became the topper of my batch in Biological Sciences and changed my degree to Biological Sciences & Bioengineering, and ultimately graduated with a B.Tech. in Biotechnology from IIT Kanpur.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
Since I was a little kid, my perennially logical outlook towards everything and the tendency to ask questions that didn't even cross my teachers' minds made me have to research and figure things out on my own. After all, I was just a little kid, and this process used to become too involved and difficult for me. I used to spend months looking for reasons behind ideas that all my peers and teachers used to just accept as fact. This journey automatically moulded me into a professor as I grew older.
How does your work help society?
I answer questions that are rarely asked even by teachers. Why is a(b+c) = ab + ac?
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
I have always been my own role model, and I make sure to mentor my students to look up to themselves and subconsciously keep working on becoming their own better versions every day.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I like to jump into new things, and move on to others after mastering them. One day I started producing music on garageband, and 2 days later, I released my single on YouTube and Spotify. Now I am attempting to create a completely automated online D2C store (0 human intervention).
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
No anecdotes. I have noticed something interesting over years of teaching though. Curiosity decreases as we grow older. It is essential to mentor students and inculcate a drive of curiosity and exploration at a young age. :)

Perfect! Siddhant Sir's teaching made biology click for me. I didn't need to resort to rote memorization, which I was really worried about.
