I am a yoga instructor and fitness trainer. I am a RYS and RPYT certified yoga trainer and certified fitness trainer. I am in the fitness industry for more than 6 years. I put up from Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world. Through yoga, a person knows his/her body and mind better and yoga is the best way to maintain your physical health. More About Me
Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Yoga being ancient part of lifestyle, it is very scientific in nature and thus from very early in my life, I was attracted towards it. As I started practicing, I understood the depth of it and how each asana contributes towards problems and solutions respectively. Since my interest in fitness was continuous from very beginning as hobby, it later become the part of my routine. Today I am a successful yoga trainer.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
Fitness is one field which helps people stay healthy, like I mentioned about my interest in fitness as hobby, motivation towards this field came from practice and only practice each day comes as learning and understanding not just your mind but body a wholesome development thus it is an continuous motivation.
How does your work help society?
Yoga has to be performed with discipline, it not only helps maintain a lifestyle of individual but also keeps mind healthy and allows each of them to achieve their optimum potential.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
Yoga Patanjali in itself is a complete guide to yoga and all the scriptures. The more you indulge the more you receive since yoga is not just about asana, it is a way of life. My role model is our scriptures because it not only helps me as teacher but also shapes me at personal level.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
My hobbies include taking care of pets, listening to music, travelling and exploring my new interests'.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
There was a student of mine, who was a diabetic and had some issue that she wasn't able to walk properly. Her daughter contacted me for the class and now her diabetes is under control with which her walking has also improved remarkably. She lost so much unwanted weight and I was very happy to see her dedication towards yoga furthermore her trust towards me gave me a new motivation.
